A Faceless Name.

About a week about I went to see Killing The Dream/The Carrier/ More Than Life/Unrestrained at the Underworld Camden.  The first band up were Unrestrained over from the states, today was the last date on their European tour. They sounded brilliant, full of passion and anger, just my type of band. They also spoke about some issues between their songs, which I know no everyone enjoyed, but I personally enjoy it. Next up were probably my favorite new UK band at the moment, scratch that the World. Ive been playing this record pretty much no stop since I got it. The last time I saw them they were brilliant, but I didn't really know them that well at the time. This time though I was well into it. There was only me, my mate and maybe two other people who were getting involved, which was a shame but still, they were fantastic and played with such rage and passion that I thought was long lost. Next up was The Carrier who were pretty good, I wasn't too into them before this show, but tonight they hooked me in, they played a storming set but in turn lead me to pick up the 7". Then tonight's headline Killing The Dream came one, they opened with my favorite song by them, Fractures. Which I got the mic handed to me during the "we are letting go bit". Which pretty much made my good night even better. This band are fantastic in every way. Go see them , pick up their new record and you will see instantly was I'm talking about.

On Saturday came the hugely anticipated Royal Rumble alldayer. The day really started by me meeting Leanne at Victoria Station, getting donuts and catching the tube up to Camden. On they way we en-counted 4chan people, with V for Vendetta masks playing that Chocolate Rain song very loudly. We arrived at the venue, found James and got our passes hung out with the Search Party boys for a bit and drank some Buckfast (don't try it.). Then we went to see the Search Party boys. This was their first show out of Glasgow, but you couldn't tell. They played asif they had been doing this for years. So much energy, so much talent. I really really hope they get some more English shows, hell maybe even a tour, god knows they deserve it. Next was Lonewolves, a relatively new band, but still a fucking good band. The tunes are fresh but still have plenty of intensity, and brilliance. Expect big things from them in the coming months. Next we have Chaos Days. Now being the only Pop Punk band on pretty much an exclusive Hardcore show, certainly has its disadvantages.  And not everyone in the crowd was into them.

BRB gonna go see ringworm/xbishopx will finish this off later.

Um.

I haven't updated this in ages, sorry for that. I tend to put off writing another entry, as I'm never sure what to write or if people actually give a flying about my life or my opinions. But here I am writing another entry, and I'm sure not sure why I am.

So since the last time I was here a bit of stuff has happened. I wouldn't say alot and I wouldn't say nothing, so a bit will do. Christmas and the New Year came and went bringing large amounts of weight, alcohol and presents which I very much enjoyed. The weight however I did not, and I never do. I could go as far  as saying I detest my weight, however thats another rant for another day. I also finished up my work (as it was only temporary) and I am now unemployed, which I'm finding horrible.  I also got payed which was and still is amazing, however I'm spending it at a ridiculously quick rate. Ive spent quite alot of it on tshirt/vinyl/gig tickets and not alot else. I will however later tonight be buying train tickets to Belgium for Groezrock fest which I am very very excited about.

I am also excited about the gigs I have coming up which I am looking forward to alot. This includes seeing More Than Life twice in one week and Lower Than Atlantis twice in two weeks.

I dont really have alot else to say at the moment, so I'll try and update it when I do.

Armed With A Mind.

I haven't updated this in a while, and I apologize for that. The reason I haven't updated it is because Ive been petty busy with work/gigs and thusly I haven't had alot of spare time of my hands, so the spare time I do have, I normally use for sleeping. It appears that I haven't updated this since the NFG gig, I shall try to as through update as possible.

So yeh Ive been working alot, and it's going well and everyone seems to be pretty nice and chill, I'm still getting to grips with everything, but I'm pretty used to it now. My only real gripe with it is that, we never ever leave on time, which is fucking annoying as I'm pretty much giving them free labour.

So In the last couple of weeks I went to see Cancer Bates with Hexes and Dead Swans supporting. Now Dead Swans are one of my favorite UK Hardcore bands, so the chance to see them in a pretty small venue with hardly any crowd, wasn't a chance I could pass up (even though there was a Verse show on the other side of London). But yeh I love Dead Swans, and I was pretty much one of the only few people singing along, which led to having the mic more times that I can remember, awesome. Next up were Hexes who were in my opinion shit, and they seemed to have an invisible keyboard player which annoyed me. Then the brilliant Cancer Bats came on, now on record I'm not a massive fan, but live they are just brilliant brilliant fun, and that why I love them.

The Next now I went to was Have Heart, Carpathian, Cruel Hand and Khalo. The first band that went on was Khalo, who were utter utter shit, boreing deathcore that Ive seen done by 100 bands 100 times better. Then aussies Carpathian came on, who really pleased me as they were pretty good, need to have a proper listen to them. Next up were Cruel Hand who really impressed me, not your adverage hardcore band at all, I expect big things from the these boys. Then I made my way to the front for Have Heart, who are utterly utterly brilliant, despite all the mic proberlems and the gigs standing at the side of the stage, who got a sharp telling off, which made me laugh hard. I even got the mic given to me during "The Taste Of The Floor" which I was rather stoked about, as that my favorite song by them.

So that pretty much wraps up my life in the past couple of weeks. Tomorrow I'm putting my Christmas decorations with my Dad and then on Thursday I'm going to see Fucked Up again, so I proberly wont update this blog again till after that or even untill after Christmas.

Bye.

Life is Awesome.

Right so on Thursday I started my new job at Republic, which is awesome and it doesn't seem to be hard work, just boring. And It looks as though I'm going to be in the stockroom the majority of the time which is good I think, It means I have to spend less time getting annoyed by people. Which is always awesome. Another good thing is there isn't really a uniform, just no brand names that the store don't sell. I'm actually looking forward to starting work on Monday, I think I'm crazy.

Last night I got a couple of buses over to Brixton to see New Found Glory/Set Your Goals/Four Year Strong/Crime In Stereo. Which was really really good. I was one of the few people singing along to Crime In Stereo, which got me a few strange looks I'm sure. Next up were Four Year Strong, who impressed me alot, I think I might have to give this album another listen. Then Set Your Goals came on, I wasn't sure how they were gonna be on a stage this size, but they were awesome, the crowd was awesome, recognizing people in the middle of the pit and having "mosh chats" was awesome. Then the headliners came on, and they were really good, I didn't realize how many songs I knew by them, but I knew quite a few . The Gorilla Biscuits cover was brilliant.

Everything about this day was awesome. I think I use that word to much...

Fucked Up, in more ways than one.

I don't think any thing notable has happened since my last proper blog. This was until Thursday when I went to see Fucked up with The Shitty Limits and some other crappy band. For this gig I went to a Youth Center in Guilford, Surrey. Which was tiny and as you may be able to predict the gig was fucking mental. One of the best shows of my life hands down. They did a black flag cover which I went crazy for, and just made the show even better. Below a photo illiterates how fucking crazy this show was, I'm actually in the photo as well, well done if you can spot me!

Since then nothing exciting or interesting has really happened. All that has happened is me over-thinking the last 5 years and in some cases more, of my life. I released that I miss learning, and I'm not actually as stupid as I or other people think I am, and If I would have had help in the last few years of Secondary School, when I was severely Depressed (I'm not going to bullshit, I was seriously mentally ill) I could now the person I am capable of being.

I also came to realize that I'm not and will never be completely fine, I'm always going to have this dark cloud over my head that will never completely go. Ive just go to get on with my life and make something of myself, which at the moment I'm not doing in the slightest. I also relised that during my childhood I wasn't as happy as I should have been, I think looking back I as depressed for alot lot longer than I have ever imagined. God, isn't mental health just a bundle of fucking fun?

I'm still Ill, I accept that, I just know how to cope. Listening to fast angry records, going to shows and writing in this blog helps me, so much. I can tell I'm tonnes better because things that would make me a crying mess before, hardly phase me, I'm well on the way to normality.
